What is HWS?

Our Mission

We at HWS are a family and friends owned and operated artisan studio collective. It's our mission to create, educate, and learn all we can while sharing our special brand of creations.

In 2013 Binge started to create artisan keycaps as a project documented on geekhack.org as a way to supplement his enthusiasm for art, sculpture, and keyboards. His wife, WidgiePidge, observed and kindly supported his habits for years until officially joining his endeavors and co-founding Hunger Work Studio.

Since foundation we have worked closely with friends and family to bring new concepts and products to enthusiasts and supporters of the arts. We hope to expand our library of creations in the coming years with dedication, hard word, and a little help from our friends.

Click on the 'Contact Us' button at the lower right of your screen to submit a message to HWS*. We would appreciate it if this was used for questions/suggestions. We may not always respond to suggestions, but strive to respond to questions within 48 hours during normal work weeks. Questions of an inappropriate nature or which could be answered through the FAQ/[Calendar] may be ignored at our discretion.

How to buy

It's a lot easier than people make it out to be. First go back in time to when a sale had taken place and take the place of one of the people who managed to get some of the stock. This plan is fool-proof because in the future you know who is going to get the keys. Future fans, you're so dedicated!

In all seriousness sales can occur anywhere there is a way to post an invoice link. You may be at a meetup, on Discord, Instagram, Geekhack.org, reddit's /r/mechanicalkeyboards or /r/mechmarket, slack, or here on hungerwork.studio. One thing I can assure you is that if there isn't any information posted here regarding a sale then there is not currently any stock*. With the creation of this site and the calendar I now have a better centralized location for making updates.
